What is Breast Reduction

Breast Reduction Surgery Excess fat and skin tissue in the breasts is surgically removed. Breast reduction can be performed for cosmetic purposes in women with large and dense breast tissue, or it can be used for certain health problems.  During breast reduction, excess fat is removed from the body by methods such as liposuction.  To remove the tissue, an incision is made under the breast tissue in such a way that it cannot be seen easily and is allowed to heal aesthetically.  In addition, an incision may be made on the nipple to shape the breast tissue and protect the existing nipple tissue.  After the operation, the incisions are closed properly, and the breast is given its final shape.
