What is a Lip Lift?

The medical name for a lip lift is “lip lift”.  Lip fillers are generally preferred to make the upper lip appear fuller, but these fillers are not permanent and need to be repeated.

Lip lift surgery is a permanent method.  Lip lift surgery makes the upper lip larger.  Especially while smiling, it prevents the upper lip from covering the teeth and makes the teeth more visible.  The operation can be performed under both local and general anesthesia.  The operation is performed by making an incision at the junction of the lower border of the nose with the upper lip.

In the preoperative interview, the amount of lip augmentation is determined according to the person's lip structure.

• If the operation is to be performed under local anesthesia, you must eat before you come, and if it is to be under general anesthesia, you must stop eating at least 8 hours before.  
• Before the operation, do not wash your face with a chemical cleanser and do not apply makeup.
• In general, there is no need for hospitalization after surgery.  
• There may be swelling and mild pain after the procedure.  This is a normal situation. 
• For pain, you can use painkillers recommended by your doctor.  
• It's normal to see stitch marks at first.  When the wound heals, the stitch marks will become invisible.
